Ron has held a variety of different roles in the ICT industry during the last 25 years.
Starting off in a junior field services role, Ron moved "through the ranks" in maintenance and support. Leaving the service and support world allowed time for some serious study. A degree in IT and a decision to go it alone as a contractor saw Ron tackle some diverse and challenging situations. As a contractor Ron filled technical management and project management roles. Several years ago Ron was faced with the challenge of managing the testing outcomes of a significant project. While not quite a "Road to Damascus" epiphany, Ron found that testing "made sense". More testing experience and training in the testing field followed. A decision to specialise in test management has proven to be a rewarding one. Ron is currently the Manager, Testing and Assurance in the ICT Testing Services group in Queensland Health.
