Software testing is a resource demanding and complex activity. Unfortunately, it is impossible to test all the characteristics of an application. In addition, testing the application alone is not sufficient; introducing a new application in a company might impact already existing IT services or business processes.
In this keynote, we present how it is possible to analyze the alignment between the information technology, the business processes and the company strategy. With this analysis, it is possible to factor-in business, organizational and technological drivers in the test strategy. An example and the fundamental principles of business/IT alignment are presented. |
